Outdoor Photographer: about the light

For a long time, I used to subscribe to Outdoor Photographer (OP) magazine where I learned a good deal about photography, camera+lens+gadgets. One night, while I was browsing OP website, their photo contest The Art Of Expression - All About the Light caught my attention. I told to myself, why not? let's see if l get a vote. At the very last minute, I submitted 4 entries...Eventhough I didn't make it to the Finals, the 1st two of my images (The Psychedelic Walkway and Kids Photo: Ball Ride and Silhouette) was in top100 Highest Rated ~ with that, l felt like a winner!

"The Psychedelic Walkway"
a favorite from my camera club as some photographers have taken the same shot but never captured the same color and without people.

"Kids Photo: Ball Ride and Silhouette"
A 1st placer and also a fave in our camera club. A prize winner shot as one photographer will call it, one says it's one of my best, then a Life Magazine material.

"A Walk To Remember"
This is not rated as there was a problem in JPEG compression that it appeared flaky when downloaded in OP online. But it you click this image to enlarge, you'll see why I entered this. My previous blog talked about this cemetery that one photographer commented as an Outstanding B&W and if I will do this thing, I will kick their butts in our Monochrome competition.

"The Light In The Church Hallway"
an old fave of mine. Believe me, this is a raw image without any computer/photo editing software manipulation at all.

The People's Choice Voting has begun. Start voting for your favorite images but need to log in to vote. Vote for the BEST and if you think my images deserve your vote, help OP select the People's Choice Winners because these are four images where I expressed myself into an Art and captured a good deal About The Light.
